Damodar is one of the founding partners of Orbit Law Services and is a leading expert in Urban & Regional Development Schemes, Civic & Urban Infrastructure, Banking and Finance, Project Finance and Corporate & Commercial Laws with over three decades of corporate legal experience.
His specializations include area development schemes, SEZs, Urban Housing Schemes, Urban Water Supply & Waste Management Schemes and Urban Multi Model Transport Schemes, Forensic Audit, Trade Finance matters relating to asset-based lending and structured finance, Factoring and Equipment lease financing. He also excels in Banking and Finance & Project Finance which include banking and infrastructure matters and debt restructuring under various schemes of RBI. Damodar regularly advises the Committee of Creditors (COC) and Insolvency Resolution Professionals in various matters under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code and has spoken on many of these issues at various forums.
Damodar’s rich and varied infrastructure development practice experience includes working as an in-house counsel with reputed public sector banks and financial institutions including IFCI Ltd, Housing and Urban Development Corporation Ltd (HUDCO), as well as private sector companies such as – Reliance Infrastructure Limited and Reliance Communications Limited.
